St. Colman’s Credit Union is required to collect certain information from members, which allows us to comply with our obligations under Irish, European and International Legislation in relation to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) regardless of the value of the transaction:
- Membership number
- Name
- Address
- Date of Birth
Additional documentation is required if the Foreign Exchange transaction, equals, exceeds or accumulates to €10,000 in a rolling 6 month period as follows:
Proof of Identity: Passport, Driver’s Licence, National Identity Card, Garda ML10 Identity form
Proof of Address: Utility Bill, Correspondence from a Regulated Financial Institution, Government Department or the Revenue Commissioners – All items should be dated within the last 3 months
Information regarding the source or purpose of the funds i.e. House Sale, Inheritance, pension fund, car purchase or sale etc.
Information regarding the beneficial owner of funds if not you.
All this information is required and allows the Credit Union to comply with our legal obligations under the Irish, European and International Legislation with regard to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing.
